Nina Wachsman

Nina Wachsman is a writer-illustrator who uses a wide range of themes and techniques to bring her picture books to life. She studied with Maurice Sendak, author of “Where the Wild Things Are” at Parsons School of Design, where she majored in children’s book illustration.  She works in color pencil and water color, or in black ink and gouache, depending on the mood of the tale she is telling.

Nina has been an art director for over 30 years where much of her career was spent on children’s brands such as Pampers and Crest for Kids.  She is able and willing to bring the marketing skills from her advertising days to promote the books she illustrates.
